FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long will a shoot take?
The shoot should take anywhere between 1-2 hours. If shooting newborn, please expect that more time may be required to help settle the little one, in case we experience a bout of tears or a feeding session is required.
Where do you shoot?
Sessions are normally taken in the lightest locations in your home or in an outdoor location of your choice. The home is a great place for little ones to feel at ease in their own natural environment. It also allows any sentimental props or backdrops to be incorporated into the session. Most importantly, it's the place where kids feel most relaxed.
What should we / they wear?
I always suggest for Mum to choose her outfit first and then get the family to co-ordinate their outfits around hers. That way Mum can feel most comfortable and relaxed. I always suggest a similar colour palette or neutral palette works well, as it always looks clean.
However, if your style is bright and patterned, just make sure other members of the family aren’t wearing anything too bold that will clash when sitting together. Usually one patterned dress / shirt is usually enough. I usually request to steer away from the adults wearing black.
Try to avoid wearing bold aquas, black or bold prints. These do not photograph well. Also try and avoid any clothing too matchy matchy. Wear clothing you feel most comfortable in.
Textured and pale-coloured blankets, wraps or swaddles also work well for shooting little ones.
Can we bring props?
If you have any items or objects that you would like to be photographed with or that are meaningful to the family, feel free to include them. We can discuss ways to incorporate them into the shoot. I don't provide any props.
What happens if it is raining?
Given that weather in Singapore can be temperamental, if it is pouring with rain or a dull grey day, I will recommend we reschedule to another day. Nothing worse than your photos looking dark and depressing. I will prioritise to schedule your shoot as early as possible.
Do you do bespoke events?
I am very happy to shoot a special event, kids birthday etc. We can put together a bespoke package depending on your needs.
Do you ever shoot abroad?
I am regularly back in the UK. If you wish to book in a shoot and you live in the UK, please get in touch as early as possible so that I can help schedule my dates around what works for you.
When will I be able to view the photos?
I will email you with a login for your own private gallery to review 40-70 of the best shots.
When will the finished photos be available?
From the date of placing the order, your photos should take about 2-3 weeks to be retouched and printed. If you require framing, it may take 3-4 weeks in total. Please let me know if there is a special date, that you require the photos by, so that we can be sure to deliver on time.
What payment do you accept?
I accept: cash, cheque, and online transfers. Payment is required on the day of shoot, or paid in advance of the shoot.

Who owns the copyright of our purchased images?
By my service, you understand that the copyright of all the images is assigned to Katie Martin-Sperry Photography. If you do not wish for your images to be used for promotional purposes, kindly inform me at the time of booking or on the day of the shoot.
