A Father's Day Worth Remembering

Father’s Day has a way of reminding us just how quickly time passes. One minute you're carrying a toddler on your shoulders, and before you know it they're running ahead of you, full of independence and personality. As a photographer, I'm often reminded that it's these everyday stages of family life that become some of our most treasured memories. I have a photo of me and my Dad on my dressing table. It feels like yesterday. We were on holiday in Thailand, I was 27, no kids, carefree, living in Hong Kong at the time. I look at it most days and realise I don't get to swing my arm around him as regularly as I used to.

One of my favourite things to photograph during family sessions is the connection between fathers and their children.

Whether it's a game of chase, a quiet cuddle, or simply holding hands while exploring together, these moments are rarely planned, yet they often become the images families love the most. The genuine laughter, the silly faces, and the natural interactions tell a story that is uniquely yours.
