New Year, New Arrival

I have gotten to know Valerie and Danny over the years, from photographing Valerie when she was pregnant with her first born Zack. In the run up to Christmas we did a maternity outdoor shoot, which seems like yesterday and here I am photographing the new arrival.

I have to say, I adore newborn shoots, there is so many little features and expressions to capture. Not only that, they change and grow so fast within the first 6 months, it is essential (in my view), that all the diddy features should be captured. It is always interesting to see how the family dynamic changes from 3 to 4. Little Zack and I did some hanging out while mum was on a mammoth breastfeed, we read, played, and sung. When we met his sister he kindly gave her some of his favourite toys as a 'momentary' welcome gift! What a gorgeous happy family of four they have now become.
